Makers of Auto-Tune Say Actual Voices Gone By 2014

A spokesman for Antares Audio Technologies, the makers of the audio processor Auto-Tune, said that the company foresees the eventual elimination of the actual human voice as early as 2014.

“Lots of people don’t realize that artists such as Katy Perry, Britney Spears, Rihanna, Beyonce, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Rebecca Black, The Black Eyed Peas, Mary J. Blige, Cher, Eminem, Kid Rock, Miley Cyrus, um — I lost track of what I was saying…”

When the spokesman remembered what he was saying, he continued. “All of these artists use this system, and they are all successes. If actual singing voices aren’t in vogue anymore, why should actual voices be?”

Antares also plans to work closely with smart phone companies to incorporate their system into actual phone conversations. “For the first time, you and your friend will be perfectly in tune, and just as artificial as your favorite performers!”
