After repeated claims by many that Congress, particularly the Republicans, are refusing to do their jobs, House Speaker John Boehner denied the lack of activity and explained the plan.
“It’s not a question of if we are doing what we’re supposed to do,” he said. “It’s just that we are doing things so slowly, it just looks like we’re not accomplishing anything. Nothing could be further from the truth.”
Boehner went on to explain that his party was “merely pacing itself until 2015”, which, to their disappointment, they discovered “is a long time from now”.
“Benghazi, gay marriage, Bergdahl, sueing the President, Benghazi,” it’s just a ploy to stretch things out so we can concentrate on the real concerns,” said the House Speaker.
When asked what the real concerns were, Boehner replied, “we’ll get back to you on that.”
In other news Texas Republican gubernatorial nominee Greg Abbott sounded off on his disdain for abortion clinics in his state, saying, “what’s wrong with coat hangers?”
